De rust opzoeken en de lading bedwingen. Voorafgaand aan het componeren duik ik eerst in het gevoel en ga ik met die emotie aan de slag. Ik ben geen tekstschrijver maar iemand met altijd, niet bestaande, muziek in zijn hoofd.

Trying to find your peace and deal with the tension. Before I compose I let my mind be flooded with the emotion, which I then try to express in my work. I am not a writer – I am someone who continually hears music that is yet to be written in his mind.
To compose is to handle the emotion and to express the experience of it.
